Have you ever gone out for a walk and seen a flower or a weed growing up between the cracks in a sidewalk? Whenever I see that, I think of the determination that little seed had in order to flourish and thrive to grow in such a difficult spot! Or maybe it’s just doing what it knows it’s supposed to do and growing in any way it can. The beauty of this is that it’s embracing where it’s at, and using that position to make the best of things by reaching upwards towards the sun and utilizing whatever it can from the ground to grow.
As humans, I think we are like those seeds.
We can grow and even thrive in the most difficult situations if we are determined enough and nourish our minds and keep looking upward and forward and using what we can to grow. Embracing our situation allows us to say, “Here I am, now what?”
If we set a vision for ourselves and work towards a solution for a desired outcome, things start to line up. Coincidences start to happen. Opportunities start showing up.
We create our own luck. I think this is what the saying “Keep your eye on the prize” means.
We are meant to thrive and succeed. We all have talents and gifts to offer. By keeping our vision on growing and flourishing, we fulfill and expand our potential and empower ourselves. When we empower ourselves, we also empower others.
And then when we do that, we can start planting new seeds. Whether we are aware of it or not, everyday we are planting those seeds. Planting seeds for the future – for ourselves and for those around us.
Seeds of love or seeds of hate, seeds of victor or seeds of victim, seeds of fulfillment of potential or seeds of giving up.
At first we may not see the roots starting to form in the ground. But that doesn’t mean it’s not happening.
When you plant a tomato or carrot seed, you don’t see anything happening on the surface right away. But, as you continue to water and fertilize the seed and the ground it’s planted in, one day you see the first leaves. As you continue to water and feed the plant, you get a healthy, thriving plant. This is the same for us. We nourish and feed our minds with positive self-talk, visualizing, and keeping the end goal in mind. This leads to taking inspired action which in time results in the physical creation or manifestation of our dreams and goals. Again, just like the plant, continued nourishing and nurturing must continue to keep growing and thriving.
What seeds are you planting for yourself and those around you?
Plant the seeds of what you dream of and want to accomplish. Remember that growth is taking place before you can actually see it.
Give it time to take root, nourish and feed it, and you will certainly see it.
