There are two important aspects to reaching and achieving any goal in life that you desire. First, you have to make the commitment that you will do what you need to do to achieve your goal. I define commitment as a created choice by you that requires daily renewal to be successful. I use the term “created” choice because it is created and decided by you. You make a proactive choice that you decide is important to you. This is a key component to a Results strategy. You get to choose what you are committed to and where you will focus your efforts. Whether you want to work on your marriage, your diet, your fitness level, a project at work, saving finances, or being a better parent, each and every goal requires a daily re-commitment that serves as a reminder for what you want to make happen.
Remind yourself what you are committed to on a regular and repetitive basis. Repetition deepens the focus of the brain toward the direction of your goals. Neuroscience says repetition creates the strongest learning. This leads us to the next component in the Results strategy which is consistency. Consistency is an on-going and steadfast repetition of steps taken on a regular basis towards your goals. Without consistency through repetition, your commitment to your goals will not flourish, grow or be sustained.
A whole-body mindset is about living a life that feeds your whole self. I want to assist you in living a full and healthy life on all levels. What is important to you? What do you want to make better in your life? Write down some goals you’d like to achieve. Start thinking about what it would take to reach them. Knowing what you want and are willing to commit to and then taking consistent action is a proven formula to getting the results you want. Let’s get started!
