Marinate the steak in the liquid ingredients, the black pepper and garlic for at least an hour (several hours).
Heat the pan first using medium-high to high heat (be sure to use a pan large enough for all your ingredients, otherwise you'll need to cook in two batches).
Add the meat along with the marinade mixture to your pan.
Stir frequently for a minute or two to get a little bit of a wet sear.
Add the butter, onions and jalapeño stirring again for another minute or two.
Lastly add in the broccoli and continue to cook until the broccoli and steak are cooked to your liking. We usually prefer the the onions, broccoli etc to still have a little crunch. Because the steak is sliced thin, it goes pretty fast so it’s more a matter of your preference at this point.
Take the pan off the heat and garnish with green onions, cilantro, and peanuts.
