Ingredients

  • 6-8 oz Sirloin steak (you can use any cut of steak you like)
  • 1 Onion, sliced
  • 1 Jalapeño, sliced
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1-2 cups Broccoli (depending on the size of your steak and your preference)
  • 1/4 c Bachans Japanese BBQ sauce
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce or coconut aminos
  • 2 tbsp Fish sauce
  • 2 tbsp Shaoxing cooking wine or rice wine vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • Black pepper to taste

Toppings (optional)

  • Sliced green onions
  • Cilantro
  • Peanuts

Instructions

  • Marinate the steak in the liquid ingredients, the black pepper and garlic for at least an hour (several hours).
  • Heat the pan first using medium-high to high heat (be sure to use a pan large enough for all your ingredients, otherwise you'll need to cook in two batches).
  • Add the meat along with the marinade mixture to your pan.
  • Stir frequently for a minute or two to get a little bit of a wet sear.
  • Add the butter, onions and jalapeño stirring again for another minute or two.
  • Lastly add in the broccoli and continue to cook until the broccoli and steak are cooked to your liking. We usually prefer the the onions, broccoli etc to still have a little crunch. Because the steak is sliced thin, it goes pretty fast so it’s more a matter of your preference at this point.
  • Take the pan off the heat and garnish with green onions, cilantro, and peanuts.
  • Enjoy!
